Sagay Paradise
A long ride. Fresh air. Green everywhere.
As our main purpose of going back to our province is to celebrate my grandmother's death anniversary. We visited her grave that morning.
A 30 minute trek through muddy plains and sugar cane fields from our house.
Lighting a fire and having the smnoke reach you before leaving the cemetery is a local tradition.
It is to prevent bad luck.
My tiyoys and tiyays (uncles and aunts in our dialect) - which I can't speak but I can understand a bit.
One OSM thing with province is the fresh food
fresh from the tree star apple
fresh from the sea seaweed XD
I found this pillow with my name embroidered on it - now you know my real name (>.<)
It was my old pillow case from ages ago and it was sent here.
old school alarm clock is a bit irritating but feels so natural
I was able to bond with farm animals like this cute duck drinking, and also a young goat.
The they was mostly spent preparing for a feast. yes feast. they even had a whole pig butchered for everyone to share. and the overflowing alcohol! Oh yeah!!!
Endless food, stories, alcohol. repeat
We did a little karaoke too!
Would you care for some tea?
~
Spending days with my relatives, under a bahay kubo (nipa hut), eating fresh foods, farm animals, nature pegs everywhere, freshest air, star gazing(seriously the sky is much prettier when you;'re away from the city because of the less light pollution. It's so beautiful), calm surroundings, no internet orz
I was able to to some pencil drawing while I was there.
