Hong Kong Heights

Cable Car. Ngong Ping Village. Giant Budha.
You don't know how crazy the lines was before we even got to where I took this photo! and it was just around 9am that time! We need to ride this to get to Ngong Ping Village, unless you want to walk (which some poeple tourist or devotees actually do) we saw them talk about determination! For 115HKD return trip bundle, I got to ride this agoraphobia inducing cable car ride. (it's my first time) >.< It's quite a long trip above the mountains but actually it's alright, just don't look down LOL
So when we arrived there, the air was so fresh and there were tourist are everywhere!
The village was transformed into a mini city with restaurants, clothing store, theaters, etc.

oh look, there's the Budha

This was an interesting feature. the instruction was to pick a divination stick and bring it inside the store to know the meaning.
at first we were like, OMG we might have to pay LOLOL
In return we got this goodluck advice. YAY
Speaking of good luck, these colorful bunch are charms for sale.
I got the green one and attached it on my bag. It says that you should bring it anywhere with you for good luck and guidance.
Now for the hard part - climbing 200+ steps to reach the Giant Budha statue.
The site was really majestic and calming along with the view and the cool winds.
Aside from the huge Budha in the middle, there were smaller ones below Him.

just chillin'

yes, we are eating ice cream on a very high and cold place XD
Aside from the main attraction that is the budha, there were other beautiful sceneries around.
Huge temple arches and pretty gardens of flowers.
the prayer temple
Ngong Ping Village is huge and very scenic. I am glad this was part of our journey even though it is quite far.
Our ride home
