Macau and the Hipster Tourists [IMG heavy]
Night of October 31, we landed and were greeted by freezing wind of Macau. XD
sleepless airport people /o/ woohoo I'm glad I brought 'carpet' (my f21 scarf) it was seriously windy!
We rode the bus from the airport to Lisboa. crossing our fingers while on the trip hoping that we would reach the correct stop. Thankfully Grand Lisboa Hotel was freaking bright and colorful we knew right away we were on the right area. haha Then the walking commence for the search of our hotel.
Meet our very cozy three bed room. I really like the interiors it feels like home for a good price!
Time for dinner
Macau street food - Check!
wow we accomplished something on our first night. The food was love especially their siomai! :3
After a good night sleep, we head on our day tour! weeeee
Senado Square
The place is huge! reminded me of Eastwood city but on a larger scale. The place got restaurants, shopping destinations for fashion finds and souvenirs, museums, the famous Macau beef Jerkey, etc.
Nothing historic about this tree but it's pretty! :3
St. Paul Ruins
Yes, even though we were armed by our itinerary list and tourist maps, we still got lost. OTL
After our Senado Square touring we intended to go to A-Ma temple. which was just a bus ride away.
A somewhat residential area with tall apartment buildings. which was on the opposite side of where A-Ma temple is O.O and thus the hipster tourists were born - going to places where no regular tourist would go.
After checking the map again we finally learned how to go back and saw the right bus stop.
Viola! We finally got to A-Ma Temple
After climbing stones and breathing incense smoke, we went out to chill and yay for ice cream sandwich.
after chilling around the temple, we went to another exploring to search for the Macau Tower.
We walked back and forth, looking for the right bus and asked people. We were advised to just walk from A-Ma temple. Wherein we thought was a just a short walk.
BUT WE WERE WRONG!
hahahha
That walk did not actually lead us to the tower itself but lead us to this OSM view.
In fairness, we wont get this shot from other places, since it is always crowded with tourist. The old man gave us instructions where we could see the whole tower on a wider point of view. maybe he realized we wanted to have a good shot of the place (Our cameras were out). The place is a residential area where no tourist were found XD Oh yeah another check for the hipster tourists!
After a few shots and lounging around the place. seriously it was very breezy in the area and comfortable. It was worth the walk. Gladly The was a bus stop nearby so we went ahead and rode the bus back to our hotel for dinner and to freshen up.
Our day is not yet done!
